Lasagna for an Orange Tabby
Brown Italian Sausage
Brown ground beef. Drain
Approx 1/2 lb ricotta, 1 egg, & grated parmesan
Prepare Dough - see pasta recipe
Cut dough into palm-sized pieces
Roll out dough. Twice at each thickness in the pasta machine
Add sauce to brown beef. See sauce recipe
Shred mozzarella
Put first layer of pasta in boiling water for a few minutes
Sauce the dish
Remove pasta and drain
Lay out cooked pasta and gently dry with towels
Carefully line the dish, cutting to length accordingly
Boil next level of pasta while saucing the next layer
After scooping sauce, add in blots of ricotta and mozzarella. Sprinkle sausage sparingly
Next layer of pasta. Criss Cross pattern to preserve structural integrity
Continue to repeat until full.
At least 350 degrees for at least 60 minutes.
